Reed and I worked on a German project in Windows Movie Maker about a childrens story.
I enjoyed doing this project very much because it gave me a chance to learn how to use Windows Movie Maker and i also got a good grade a 57/60. It was difficult because i had never done anything before with Windows Movie Maker. A thing that really worked for us was adding sound to the Movie, Windows Movie Maker is set up so it was easy for us to do so. A thing that i would have done differently is i would have spoken more clearly when for the voice recordings we put into the movie.
Demonstrates growth and competence in: public presentation of self, interpersonal relationships (peers, family, teachers, mentors), public speaking
In history I did a PowerPoint presentation, and speech on the Trail of Tears which i presented to the class
What i enjoyed about this was learning about the journey of the native Americans on the Trail of Tears. What i found difficult about doing the speech and PowerPoint on the Trail of Tears was presenting to the class. Something that really worked was my PowerPoint it flowed smoothly along with my speech. Something i would have done differently is i would have made my speech longer because i think that it was way to short. What i learned from this is that i should not worry about presenting in front of the class.
Demonstrates growth and competence in: workplace expectations/skills/abilities, workplace resources, collaboration and teamwork, decision making, problem solving, creativity, navigating the community, civic engagement (leadership, social skill, politeness, task skill, helpfulness, diversity, clarity, success of outcomes)
In language arts i worked on a group project on black history from 1950-1999 where we had to research and the write and essay.
I enjoyed this project because I got to work with a group, when we usually do individual work. I found it difficult because I had to work with people that I didnt know to well. A thing that really worked was the research, my topic aparthied had many websites that i could gather information from. If I did anything differently I would have spent more time gathering facts for my essay.
